Boycott Florida Tourism Update

The negative reputation of Florida has reached national standing.  Interim host John Oliver of the "The Daily Show" had a  few comments on the outcome of George Zimmerman's acquittal. The show has a large following of over a one million and that's just on Twitter #DailyShow

Boycott Florida tourism until the "Stand Your Ground" law is overturned. Send a message to Florida that their state is not a safe place to vacation if their citizens are able to kill anyone they deem suspicious.

Florida is not a safe place to take your family for vacation as long as Florida law permits a citizen to shoot or kill you for merely looking suspicious, and to do it with impunity. Boycott Florida tourism until this dangerous law is overturned. If the murder of Trayvon Martin isn't enough to get lawmaker's attention, maybe a loss in revenue to the state would be.

Second Amendment has Won the Bill of Rights

Jon Oliver announced the winner as he noted the curious position of Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham.  Graham doesn't object to government monitoring of Americans' phone records, but believes universal background checks for gun purchases are an invasion of privacy.

"Guns are one thing, but phone calls are too dangerous to go unchecked," Oliver said. "Really, think about it -- some maniac could be calling about going on a shooting spree."
