White Texas Man Elected After Leading Voters to Believe He Was Black

The white Republican ran in a district whose voters are overwhelmingly black Democrats, and the odds seemed overwhelmingly against him, MSNBC reports.  He reportedly mailed campaign fliers to community members that used stock photos of African Americans with messages like, “Please vote for our friend and neighbor, Dave Wilson,” reports show.  In another mailer, Wilson connected his opponent, incumbent Bruce Austin, to Houston’s openly lesbian mayor,

Dave Wilson, who unsuccessfully ran for Houston mayor in 2011, narrowly won a seat on the Houston Community College Board of Trustees after pretending to be black in his predominantly African American district, KHOU 11 News reported Friday. Read it all: The Root

Earl Sampson, an employee of 207 Quickstop in Miami Gardens, exits the store to take out the garbage. After he walks back inside, he is arrested -- for trespassing.

Earl Sampson has been stopped and questioned by Miami Gardens police 258 times in four years During this racial profiling,  he’s been searched more than 100 times, arrested and jailed 56 times.

Rep.Trey Radel Dope Addict

Rep. Trey Radel, R-Fla., pleaded guilty Wednesday to possession of cocaine and was sentenced to one year of supervised probation.

As a member of Congress, Radel has co-sponsored legislation to change the nation's mandatory minimum drug sentencing laws and voted for a bill that called for states to drug test people who receive food stamps.

Well he doesn't need food stamps, but he only gets supervised probation.
   

The freshman congressman, who represents a solidly Republican district in southwest Florida.   Radel was elected last year with Tea Party support in the Fort Myers-Naples area district.  He was doing more than sipping tea...

According to USA Today, Radel was caught buying drugs in what official described as a sting operation.  A drug dealer who told law enforcement officials that one of his customers was a member of Congress helped set up a buy and Radel bought the cocaine.

A federal judge in Missouri has given a stay of execution Tuesday to white supremacist serial killer Joseph Paul Franklin just hours before his scheduled death. Why?????

Franklin, 63, was scheduled to die at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday for killing Gerald Gordon, 42, in a sniper attack outside a suburban St. Louis synagogue in 1977. It was one of as many as 20 killings committed by Franklin, who targeted blacks and Jews in a cross-country killing spree from 1977 to 1980.

McBride was killed on Nov. 2 in Dearborn Heights, Mich., when she went to 54-year-old Theodore Paul Wafer's porch seeking help after a car crash, according to authorities.

Police say McBride crashed a car in nearby Detroit and knocked on the homeowner's door afterwards, looking for assistance. McBride was "bloodied, disoriented and appeared to be confused" after the crash, according to witnesses, Worthy said. Wafer told police he thought McBride was breaking in; he also said his shotgun went off by accident.

Nearly 70 years after the execution of 14-year-old George Junius Stinney Jr. for the killing of two white girls, advocates have taken the unprecedented step of asking a South Carolina court to grant a new trial to clear his name.

The request for a new trial is the culmination of a lengthy investigation, started years ago by local historian George Frierson, whose work brought attention to what he calls the barbaric death of a child. They sat him on a book to prop him up high enough to take his life.

"Some people might have expected to see an increase in the overt lynching and murder of Black men by white extremists under the Obama administration due to the backlash of white right-wing conservative resentment.  What no one could have predicted is that the increase in white extremist murders of Black people would occur in liberal states such as Delaware."

Dover resident EShed Alston, former Delaware State University professor Dr. Jahi Issa and state House of Representatives District 34 Independent candidate Doug Beatty demanded that the city continue to investigate the vulgar leaflet that depicted a racial slur that was circulated within the city beginning late in 2011.

Issa said. "Lynchings are political. They're more than just a murder. And they have a long history of white supremacist behavior.

Now that allegations of modern-day lynchings in Dover, Delaware have began to gain steam within the public’s eye, it’s clear that the death of Charles Conley in October 2010, and Johnny Clark May 2012, which were all within extremely close proximity of Silver Lake Park in Dover are suspicious to say the very least. Conley, a Wesley College Freshman and football standout had only been in Dover for 7 weeks before Edison, New Jersey police notified his parents that their son had died due to an apparent suicide. Two years later, Clark a local Barber was also discovered hanging from a tree in the same area of town. His death was ruled a suicide as well, and started chatter among locals of how much of a coincidence in which the manner, location, and police conclusion on how the pair died paralleled.

J. Cheney Mason is an attorney, best known as a co-counsel for Casey Anthony Florida murder case.   "I'm a cracker, been one for 70 years."  

Florida cracker refers to original colonial-era English and American pioneer settlers of the state of Florida, and their descendants.

The term "cracker" was in use during the Elizabethan era to describe boaster. The original root of this is the Middle English word crack meaning "entertaining conversation" (One may be said to "crack" a joke); this term and the Gaelicized spelling "craic" are still in use in Northern England, Ireland and Scotland.

It is documented in William Shakespeare's King John (1595): "What cracker is this ... that deafes our ears / With this abundance of superfluous breath?"

DOJ solicits tips in Zimmerman civil rights probe

If you have information on the case:  Department of Justice officials said they would open a public email address so people could send in tips on the case.

That email address, which is now in operation, is Sanford.florida@usdoj.gov.  DOJ officials announced they had set up a way for people to send email tips that could help aid in their investigation. The email address will be operational later this week.

Lolo Jones was as good at running hurdles as she was at stumbling on social media.  Given the sensitive nature and racial tension caused by the trial, a public figure such as Jones probably should have used better judgement with the “joke”.  .....But she's probably following the really bad example of the defense lawyer.
