New Mexico State Rep. Cathrynn Brown recently introduced the bill HB 206, which would require rape victims to carry their pregnancies to term during rape trials or face charges of "tampering with evidence."
The bill states, "Tampering with evidence shall include procuring or facilitating an abortion, or compelling or coercing another to obtain an abortion, of a fetus that is the result of criminal sexual penetration or incest with the intent to destroy evidence of the crime."
The Republicans unveiled their plan to balance the budget and reduce health care cost – change women into Stepford Wives. To ensure that women have fewer rights than men, the Republicans propose to add the amendment to the US Constitution. The ultimate plan of the 2012 Republican Platform is to reduce the rights of women to have control over their body. It decreases the “fundamental individual right to life” to women “which cannot be infringed.” The Republicans have no interest in increasing the lifespan of women in the United States. By decreasing the female population in the United States the Republican plans to decrease spending – men would be in the majority. In a recent statement that was both factually inaccurate and horribly offensive, Republican Missouri Senate candidate Rep. Todd Akin said that victims of "legitimate rape" don't get pregnant because "the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down." Republican Party voted to include the "Human Life Amendment" in their platform, calling for a constitutional ban on abortions nationwide, even for rape victims. This controversy is not an accident, or a mistake, or an isolated incident. It's a reflection of a Republican Party whose policies are dangerous for women. Without knowing me or my story, Rush Limbaugh called me a "slut" and a "prostitute" on his radio show. The Republicans are frighteningly clear on these issues. Just last year, Paul Ryan joined Todd Akin and more than 200 other Republicans in co-sponsoring legislation that would have narrowed the definition of rape, limiting which victims of rape were "legitimate" enough to receive financial assistance for access to abortion care. Mitt Romney famously says he would "get rid of" Planned Parenthood if he had the chance. . Thanks, Sandra Fluke
Maternal Health
Ovarian Cancer is one of the most deadly of women's cancers. Each year, approximately 22,880 women will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer. In 2012, approximately 15,550 women will die in the United States from ovarian cancer. Many women don't seek help until the disease has begun to spread, but if detected at its earliest stage, the five-year survival rate is more than 93% Please help support Ovarian Cancer Awareness , add a #Twibbon now! http://twb.ly/PAWZRj
Martin Luther (1483-1546) "Woman is a stupid vessel over whom man must always hold power, for the man is higher and better than she; for the regiment and dominion belong to man as the head and master of the house."
What the 2012 Republican platform draft says: Republicans oppose abortion in all cases with no exceptions for rape or incest.
In 2005 the maternal death ratio was 15.1 deaths per 100,000 births. For African American women, the ratio was an disgraceful 36.5 deaths per 100,000 births (Kung, Hoyert, Xu, & Murphy, 2008). In other words, for all U.S. women, the maternal death ratio is almost 5 times as high as it should be, and for African American women, it is more than 10 times what it should be. In the United States, nearly half of all pregnancies are unplanned, (Finer L, Henshaw S. Disparities in rates of unintended pregnancy in the United States, 2994 and 2001. Perspect Sex Reprod Health. 2008;38:90–96. MEDLINE), and women with inadvertent pregnancies are more likely to develop complications and face worse outcomes for themselves and their babies.( D'Angelo D, et al. Preconception and interconception health status of women who recently gave birth to live-born infant–pregnancy risk assessment monitoring system (PRAMS), United States, 26 reporting areas, 2004. MMWR surveillance summaries, December 14, 2007:4 and 17. http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/ss5610a1.htm).
Given the option, many women will opt to save their infant over their life. They don’t need to be told by a doctor, “Sorry, the US Constitution says I have to let you die, and you have nothing to say about the matter.” A mother who’s 11 year old is pregnant from a rape, will not have the ability to save her own child if the pregnancy threatens her daughter’s life. 10-year-old gives birth to baby boy The young mother is from the nearby San Francisco, and suffered a seizure.
Infant Health
Grief
The U.S. infant mortality rate is one of the highest among all developed countries. The disparity in rates within the United States is upsetting as well, with Black babies dying at more than twice the rate of white babies.
The most recent statistics from 2007 show that the U.S. rate of almost seven deaths per 1,000 live births ranked the U.S. behind the majority of other advanced countries. Thirty industrialized countries have lower infant mortality rates, according to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, all of them spending much less money than United States does on health care.
Of the almost 18 million women in the United States estimated to be in need of publicly funded family planning services and supplies, Medicaid and government-funded clinics (Title X clinics) cover a little more than half of this need, leaving more than 8 million women without affordable family planning information and services. (Guttmacher Institute . Contraceptive needs and services, 2006.http://www.guttmacher.org/pubs/win/allstates2006.pdf)
Health Care for Women
Let’s move on from the hot topic of maternal and child health. In all years, males had significantly higher rates of admission for diabetes, about twice the rate of females. (Healthcare Quality and Disparities in Women Selected Findings From the 2010 National Healthcare Quality and Disparities Reports)
Heart disease is the leading cause of death. In 2007, females had higher rates of inpatient heart attack mortality than males. Several benchmarks are presented with implications for women's health.
Quote The 2010 National Healthcare Quality Report and National Healthcare Disparities Report are available online at http://www.ahrq.gov/qual/qrdr10.htm.
The 2007 top 4 State achievable benchmark for inpatient heart attack mortality was 54.6 per 1,000 admissions. At the current rate, males could attain the benchmark in less than 1 year; however, females could not attain the benchmark for almost 3 years.
In 2008, the top 5 State fibrinolytic medication achievable benchmark was 60.7%. At the current rate of improvement, males should reach the achievable benchmark in a little over 2 years, but females would not reach the benchmark for more than 4 years.
From 2005 to 2008, the percentage of hospitalized adult patients with heart failure who were given complete written discharge instructions improved from 57.5% to 82.0%. Improvements were observed among both males and females. The 2008 top 5 State achievable benchmark was 88%. At the current 12% annual rate of increase, this benchmark could be attained overall and for both males and females in less than a year.
Almost immediately after the passage of President Obama's signature Affordable Care Act in March 2010, Senate Minority Mitch McConnell declared, "I think [our] slogan will be 'repeal and replace', 'repeal and replace.'"
According to news release 2012 Health care law gives women control over their care, offers free preventive services to 47 million women (forty-seven million) women are getting greater control over their health care and access to eight new prevention-related health care services without paying more out of their own pocket.
Decreasing the Female Population in US
There is a secret conspiracy to repeal the 19th amendment which guarantees all American women the right to vote. Less than 100 years ago, the amendment passed by Congress June 4, 1919, and ratified on August 18, 1920. It’s a logical progression that if the Republicans add an amendment to restrict women rights (2012 Republican Platform), they would repeal an amendment that gave women rights. If women can’t vote, men can pass any laws and /or restrictions they want. Deny all health care to women, food, housing, life, liberty, happiness – no telling how far it could go.

Meet Amy Woodruff, a Planned Parenthood clinic manger in Perth Amboy, N.J. She was stupid enough to be caught on video tape, giving advice to uncover operatives posing as pimp and prostitute. The “pimp” was supposed to be running a human trafficking ring of 14-15 year old girls. The pro-life group was trying to discredit Planned Parenthood for providing abortion procedures. Sacred Work: Planned Parenthood and Its Clergy Alliances
A few things stood out in this story – just missing information. The video shows the clinic manager providing the name of a place that will do abortions for girls 14 or under – not Planned Parenthood. There seemed to be more concern by Live Action for Planned Parenthood and its employees than for the fact there may be a huge human trafficking problem in Perth Amboy, N.J. If the underage girls were not being victimized there would be no need for abortion clinics. What happens to the babies to whom the rape victims of sex rings give birth? Do Pro-Lifers really believe these poor kids if not protected, are going to be able to raise the babies and live happily ever after? The babies are likely to end up abandoned, discarded, boarder babies or dead. By 2001 thirty-five states enacted Safe Haven laws designed to prevent mothers who give birth outside of hospitals from abandoning their babies in unsafe places like dumpsters or public restrooms in a moment of fear or panic. Does anyone really believe a person engaged in human trafficking is going allow an underage pregnant girl medical care and/or access to a hospital? Without the use of condoms and/or being forced to use injectable drugs – these girls can look forward to STD’s, HIV and early death.
Affluence makes no difference a woman aborts or carries a baby to term before killing it. Amy S. Grossberg (born 1978) delivered a baby at a Comfort Inn in Newark, Delaware, in November 1996. Her boyfriend, Brian C. Peterson at the time, was with her delivery and later wrapped the baby in garbage bag and threw the baby into a dumpster. In March 1998, Peterson pled guilty to manslaughter and served a two-year sentence; on April 22, 1998, Grossberg agreed to a plea bargain, and was sentenced to a two-and-a-half years in prison on July 9, 1998.
They teens were not from the ghetto or housing projects. On the contrary, the pair grew-up in affluent suburb of Wyckoff, New Jersey. The two went off to college in September; she enrolled as a freshman at the University of Delaware, while Peterson enrolled at college in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
The United States ranked eleventh for infants less than 1 year old killed, and fourth for those killed from 1 through 14 years.Melissa Drexler (born 1978, a.k.a. "The Prom Mom"), gained notoriety for delivering a baby in a restroom stall at her high school prom. She put the body in the trash before returning to the dance. She pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter, and was sentenced to fifteen years of imprisonment, but was paroled after 37 months.
Dena Schlosser (born 1969) is a Plano, Texas woman who killed her eleven-month-old daughter Margaret Schlosser in 2004, amputating the baby's arms with a knife and supposedly believing that she was offering her to God. She was found covered in blood and listening to hymns.

In comparison, single pregnant teens that attend or have graduated from private religious schools are more likely to obtain abortions than teens from public schools, like Annie. The study was conducted by sociologist Amy Adamczyk, an assistant professor at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice and the Graduate Center, City University of New York. Fewer researches have explored religion's impact on abortion behavior.Adamczyk reported that there was no significant link between a young woman's reported decision to have an abortion and her personal religious involvement, frequency of prayer and perception of religion's importance.Adamczyk found that conservative Protestants were the least likely to report having an abortion, less likely than mainline Protestants, Catholics and women with non-Christian religious affiliations.
Data for this study came from the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health (Add Health), a three-wave school-based study of the health-related behaviors of students in grades 7 to 12 at the time of the first wave.
“Forcible rape” or traumatic sexual occurrences may cause grave mental health problems in the years after the events, according to research at the University of Ulster.Researchers analyzed rape victims who utilized rape crisis centers. They found that sexual trauma plays a role in the development of psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia. The tendency for trauma victims to physically move/run away from the local in which the traumatic event took place resulted in upsetting their social support networks, and possible risk to mental health. The risk was compounded if a pregnancy occurred. Pregnancy impacted a large number of variables related to physical and psychological health, education, employment, income, and housing. Killer Angel: A Short Biography of Planned Parenthood's Founder, Margaret Sanger
Another study found that sexual abuse in childhood increases the chances of high-risk pregnancy, which was conducted by Prof. Rachel Lev-Wiesel, Head of the Graduate School of Creative Arts Therapies at the University of Haifa.
Half of sexual abuse survivors wait up to five years before disclosing they were victimized, according to a collaborative study from the Université de Montréal, the Université du Québec à Montréal and the Université de Sherbrooke published in The Canadian Journal of Psychiatry.
Study after study by medically trained individuals focus on the damage rape and unwanted pregnancy can have on females of all ages. Yet the H.R. 3: No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act-To prohibit taxpayer funded abortions and to provide for conscience protections, and for other purposes is sponsored by a majority of males, who will never experiencethis trauma. The pain and suffering of a rape resulting in pregnancy is so great, document “religious” girls would have an abortion.
Sponsored by Rep. Christopher Smith [R-NJ4] + 173: There are a lot of males, few women and a majority of Republicans. All the sponsors are listed at this link
The original text of the bill as it was written by its sponsor and submitted to the House for consideration Jan 20, 2011 is presented below:
SEC. 309. TREATMENT OF ABORTIONS RELATED TO RAPE, INCEST, OR PRESERVING THE LIFE OF THE MOTHER.
`The limitations established in sections 301, 302, 303, and 304 shall not apply to an abortion--
`(1) if the pregnancy occurred because the pregnant female was the subject of an act of forcible rape or, if a minor, an act of incest; or
`(2) in the case where the pregnant female suffers from a physical disorder, physical injury, or physical illness that would, as certified by a physician, place the pregnant female in danger of death unless an abortion is performed, including a life-endangering physical condition caused by or arising from the pregnancy itself.
Women with money and health insurance don’t have to depend on federal assisted healthcare. Is it beneficial to the country to have uneducated 13 year old Annie on public assistance for 20-30 years to or have an educated woman that adds to society? There is a concern that male-dominated government will play Big Brother over women. This is not a defense for or against abortion – that should be between God and the female.
For years, federal laws limiting the use of government funds to pay for abortions have included exemptions for pregnancies resulting from rape or incest, or pregnancies that could endanger the life of the woman. Before being changed, “No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act," is a bill with a provision that would rewrite the rules to limit drastically the definition of rape and incest in these cases “to forcible rape”.
Definition of forcible rape:
There is no definition for “forcible rape” on federal level. Rape has a definition.
United States Congress enacted Rule 412 of the Federal Rules of Evidence. This Rule declares that evidence offered to prove the victim engaged in other sexual behavior, or evidence offered to prove any victim's sexual predisposition, is generally inadmissible in any civil or criminal proceeding involving alleged sexual misconduct. 2.To reasonable Americans, all rape is forced. Rape is an act of violence, abuse and sexual bullying. Abuse can be physical, mental, emotional and virtual. Rape instills fear in its victim.
Criminal law, rape is a type of sexual assault usually involving sexual intercourse against another person without that person's consent regardless of age or sex.
In the United States, rape is the most serious form of sexual assault punishable by law, but the definition of what constitutes rape varies from state to state. Of late, a growing amount of states have passed rape reform laws to define rape to include certain nonconsensual incidents of intercourse without requiring the use of force as well as the rape of one’s spouse. Any sexual intercourse with a child is rape and in most states sexual relations even with consent involving a girl 14 to 18 is "statutory rape," because of the lack of the child's capacity to consent.
None of these definitions appear in H.R. 3.This makes the bill vague and the 174 representatives of the people destructive to the help of rape victims. The representatives serve at the will of the people – the people are not here for the Congress. Rape victims are people, mostly women and children. Why is it that mostly men are sponsoring this Bill. Men who will never have to experience the effects of a pregnancy resulting from rape.
Is "statutory rape," because of the lack of the child's capacity to consent included in this Bill? Does that fit into the Bill’s definition of forcible rape?So a 13 year old pregnant girl, impregnated by an adult male over 21 years will have to give birth. She will then have to receive Medicaid, food stamps and welfare. Having to care for the child she will likely dropout of school. This impact will never be experienced by the representatives sponsoring this Bill. The child has been bullied into a situation because she doesn’t vote, and had no control over her body.
The H.R. 3: No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act is vague and implies the victim should have to endure humiliation and trauma for the rest of her life.
It’s a dismal future for the newly elected majority in Congress if this type of legislation is what the American people have to look forward to.
